Women’s Month Forum  discussed the Magna Carta for Women

As part of the celebration of the National Women’s Month 2024, the Kabalyero cops of 1st Benguet Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) successfully conducted a Women’s Forum held at the Mankayan Plaza Gymnasium, Brgy Poblacion, Mankayan, Benguet on March 6, 2024.

During the forum, more than 300 participants from the different women’s sectors in the municipality of Mankayan participated in a series of lectures on various topics which include: “Woman of God: Beyond Gender Norm and Culture Transformation and Inclusive Society” and “Magna Carta for Women: Our Rights, Our Voice.”

Further, the guest lecturers addressed the questions, issues, and concerns of the participants and likewise, challenged the women to exercise their leadership roles and achieve economic empowerment.

The establishment of the forum was made possible through the collaborative efforts between the police force of 1st Benguet PMFC, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office headed by Ms. Lourdes E Marcelino, the barangay officials, and other stakeholders.

Moreover, this initiative is to provide a platform for the empowerment of women and is designed to enable them to voice their concerns, share their experiences, and acquire knowledge and skills that will help them improve their lives. (PRO CORDILLERA PIO)
