Weeklong OPS yields 12 drug personalities and P3-M marijuana crops

As the result of the continuous anti-illegal drug operations in the Cordillera Region, 12 drug personalities were arrested while Php 3,000,000.00 worth of marijuana plants were eradicated in the weeklong anti-illegal drugs operation conducted by PROCOR Cops on September 4 to September 10, 2022.

Citing the records from the PROCOR’s Regional Operations Division (ROD), for the week, Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) arrested eight (8) drug personalities while Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) arrested four (4) drug personalities.

In Baguio City, the arrested personalities were identified as Lyca Kimmayong, 32; Nhap Gilbert Duyan, 31; Thun Claude Gadang, 21; Maribel Ofiana, 50; Norilyn Bayawoc, 46; Jacky Bernardino, 40; Norben Albania, 37; and a 16-year-old male minor.

While in Benguet, the arrested personalities were identified as Edgar Mangantulao, 59; Albert Jose, 76; Felix Banisa, 59; and Pablo Gingaban, 55.

The separate anti-illegal drug operations conducted have resulted in the seizure of a total of 1 gram of suspected shabu with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 6,800.00 and the confiscation of a total of 600 grams of dried marijuana leaves with an SDP of Php 72,000.00.

All arrested suspects are now facing charges for violating RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Meanwhile, the continuous marijuana eradication operations being conducted by PROCOR Cops have resulted in the destruction of a total of 15,000 pieces of Fully-Grown Marijuana Plants (FGMP) with an SDP of Php 3,000,00.00 in Rizal and Tabuk City, Kalinga. (PROCOR-PIO / File Photos)
