‘We won’t fail you’ – Magalong
Reelected Mayor Benjamin Magalong has vowed to fulfill his promise to deliver good and tinge-free governance in his second term as the city’s chief executive.
“Hinding-hindi namin kayong bibiguin sa mga susunod na araw ng isang tamang pamamahala na walang bahid-dungis,” the mayor said on May 10, the day of his official proclamation.
He said his core principle of “Good Governance Beyond Politics” will be carried out in partnership with the different sectors.
What is important for now is to harness everyoneโs shared responsibility to do what is right, to make things work, and to do these the right way. The goal is clear: what we can accomplish becomes a legacy worthy for the next generation to build on.
Nasa atin ngayon ang hamon upang palakasin pa ang ating pinagkakaisahang hangarin. Together, we will measure up to expectations, convinced that nothing is ever impossible when all hands are on deck, to do what is right, what is just, what is good, in uplifting the life of our constituents.
A better Baguio — that is what our shared duty will endeavor to accomplish in shared fulfillment with everyone. Do count on us to do just that. To continue in great perseverance in implementing programs under Good Governance Beyond Politics, through well-defined strategic action plans.
He thanked the people for the fresh mandate saying he will not fail them as the city “deserves to be a better city — safer, smarter, and more sustainable place to live in, to work for, and to bequeath for our children and theirs.”
“Ang inyong tiwala ay aming susuklian ng ibayong sipag, tyaga, talino, at kakayahan, upang madali nating maabot ang hinahangad na umaayos, pinagbubuti, at pinagagandang lungsod.” โ Aileen P. Refuerzo
