VP Leni to return to Zambales and Bataan in campaign’s homestretch
Vice President Leni Robredo is set to return to the province of Zambales on Tuesday, April 19, to visit supporters who have been campaigning tirelessly for the presidential aspirant and her running mate Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan.
The half-day visit of Robredo to Zambales will start with an assembly of fisherfolk and farmers–a sector close to Robredo – in San Narciso, Zambales. She then heads to Olongapo City in the afternoon for the people’s rally supporters organized for her called ‘Olongapinks: The Zambales People’s Rally’.
All 13 towns in Zambales and Olongapo City are expected to show their full support for Robredo at the rally.
Zambales will be the third province Robredo is visiting after the Holy Week break. She is currently in Quezon and Marinduque.
The presidential candidate has promised that if she wins in the elections, a Robredo administration will serve all Filipinos, regardless of the political color they choose.
Later in the day, Robredo will head to Bataan for the Bayanihan Bataan Leni-Kiko Grand Rally which will be held at the Bayanihan Center, Cupang, Balanga City.
It’s her second trip to Bataan this campaign season. On February 12, she was surprised by the thousands of supporters and volunteers who waited for her outside St. Joseph Cathedral in Balanga, and she thanked them for their “tireless efforts” in support of her presidential campaign.
This time, volunteers and supporters of Robredo have organized a grand rally to welcome her return. The Facebook post of “Bataan For Leni-Kiko” says cultural presentations, local talents, and television personalities will all be featured at the grand rally.
Robredo remains positive she will be victorious in Bataan, which has a total voting population of over half a million people. [End]
