Mayor Benjamin Magalong has signed city council resolution no. 347, series of 2022, approving the request of the Mabuhay Baguio Sky Production for the free use of the Baguio Convention and Cultural Center (BCCC) for the grand finals venue of the ‘Little Miss Baguio 2022’ as part of the Baguio Charter Day Celebration on September 26 at 4 pm.
It is subject to ordinance no. 41, series of 2022, that amends ordinance no. 95, series of 1995, for the renaming of the Baguio Convention Center to the BCCC, establishing the operations manual for its use, and for other purposes.
The august body considered the letter dated August 5, 2022 of Mariver ‘Vell Watson’ Agayas, Chief Executive Officer/Producer/Organizer, Mabuhay Baguio Sky Production, requesting support with the cash prizes and free use of the BCCC for the grand finals venue of the event.
The approved measure states that the event’s participants will come mainly from the youth sector with ages ranging from six to 12 years old, representing their respective school or barangay and showcasing their unique beauty and talents.
This year marks the production’s 10th year anniversary being part of the annual Baguio Charter Day Celebration, the resolution states. – Gaby B. Keith
