Update on city’s Covid-19 vaccination status, reported

The Summer Capital’s Coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccination status as of October 3 this year revealed that a total of 355,000 individuals had at least one dose of vaccine and that 340,000 are deemed fully vaccinated (with two doses).
This was reported by City Health Services Office (CHSO) head Dr. Rowena Galpo during the regular management committee meeting of local officials, Oct. 4, led by Mayor Benjamin Magalong.
She said that individuals that had their first booster shots numbered 151,987 while those who took their second booster doses tapered down to 23,777 persons.
The health chief is urging those eligible, especially persons belonging to the vulnerable sectors like seniors and individuals with comorbidities, to complete their booster shots as added protection against the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
She also encourages the public to continue adhering to minimum public health standards like wearing of face masks especially in crowded places; physical distancing; frequent washing of hands with soap and water or alcohol; and living a healthy lifestyle.
Meanwhile, Galpo disclosed that the city has a total vaccine supply of 34,609 doses as of Oct. 3, 2022, composed 15,010 Pfizer (5 to 11 years old) shots; 12,5888, Pfizer (12 years old and above); and 7,011 Sinovac doses. – Gaby B. Keith
