TWO MILITIA NG BAYAN MEMBERS VOLUNTARY SURRENDER IN IFUGAO

CAMP MAJOR BADO DANGWA, LA TRINIDAD, BENGUET- (May 23, 2021) – With the continued efforts of Ifugao police in Ending Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC) in the province, two full-time Militia ng Bayan members withdraw their support to the Communist Terrorist Groups (CTGs) and surrendered in Camp Colonel Joaquin P. Dunuan, Poblacion North, Lagawe, Ifugao on May 22, 2021.
With the support of their family, the two surrendered after series of diligent negotiations by the Ifugao Police, Regional Intelligence Division, Provincial and Regional mobile forces, and 54th IB 5ID, Philippine Army.
The two surrenderees were kept under the name of “Uno”, 69, and “Assi”, 55, both farmers, under the Casimiro Binayon @Peter of the dismantled Nona Del Rosario Command and both officers of the Nanhehekkeyan ni Nemnem ni Numpaling (NNN)/MB. “Uno” is the Vice Chairman of the NNN/MB and is included in the PROCOR Periodic Status Report on Threat Groups (PSRTG) listed as Number 2 for the fourth quarter 2020, while “Assi” is the Secretary of the same group.
They also turned over the following subversive documents: Batayang Kurso ng Partido (Aklat III), Ababa a Kurso iti Gimong ken Rebolusyon a Pilipino, Katekismo Maipanggep iti Iglesia ken Politika, Documents about NNN organization (minutes of meetings, Constitution and By-laws, Acknowledgement Receipt from Center for Development Programs in the Cordillera (CDPC), by-laws on Damang Irrigation Project funded by CDPC, several pamphlets/leaflets (Pahayagan ng Partido Komunista ng Pilipinas, ANG BAYAN), and organizational structure of NNN including committees on Sangay ng Partido sa Lokalidad (SPL).
The surrenderees also disclosed that NNN is an underground organization formed by the NPA in the year 2011. Both are now staying at the First Ifugao Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) for custodial debriefing and profiling as part of the requirements for them to avail the “Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program” (E-CLIP) of the government.
