Two High-value individuals busted in Benguet

The continuous anti-illegal drugs operations of PROCOR resulted in the arrest of two high-value individuals (HVI) after they were caught in a buy-bust operation in Benguet on April 18, 2022.

Based on the report submitted to PROCOR Regional Director PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, the arrested suspects were identified as Sally Palaganas Bugtong, 39, and Brendalee Kasandra Lebgan Modawan, 39.

Both suspects were arrested by joint operatives of Benguet PPO, Regional PNP Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU), and PDEA-CAR after Bugtong sold one (1) plastic sachet of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 1.35 grams with a standard drug price (SDP) of Php 9,180.00

Further, another plastic sachet of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 1.81 grams with an SDP of Php 12,308.00 was seized from the actual possession of Modawan.

Markings and inventory of the pieces of evidence seized during the operation were conducted on-site in the presence of the arrested suspects and duly witnessed by Prosecutor Joselea Floria- Balleta, Department of Justice (DOJ) representative, and Kagawad Jason Bulasao of Brgy. Puguis, La Trinidad

The arrested suspects and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the custody of La Trinidad Municipal Police Station for documentation and proper disposition while charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the arrested suspect.(PROCOR-PIO)
