Two Baguio wushu athletes compete in the first online International Wushu tilt

BAGUIO CITY– Baguio boys who are members of the National Wushu Team show their martial art skills in the first online virtual competition hosted by the International Wushu Federation (IWUF).

Athletes Thornton Quiney Lou Sayan and Jones Inso joined the recent first IWUF Wushu Taolu Virtual Competition 2021. They competed with over 1,000 wushu athletes from 61 countries.

Sayan landed 11th place out of around 64 competitors in the men’s compulsory nanchuan Category C. He also get 7th place out of 27 competitors in the men’s nangun Category C.

Inso meanwhile grabs 4th place in the Men’s New Chenstyle Taijiquan Category C, he was able to outscore eight other athletes. In the Men’s New Chen style Taijijian C, he landed 6th place out of 17 athletes.

Veteran Taichi athlete Daniel Parantac who is also a Baguio boy listed his name in the competition. Unfortunately, he lost by default. AJQ
