TOG2 celebrates 20th year of existence in Cagayan Valley, awards recognition

CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela– The Tactical Operations Group 2 (TOG2) celebrated its 20th founding anniversary, BGen. Rocky J. Binag, commander of Tactical Operations Wing Northern Luzon graced the occasion as Guest of Honor and Speaker, on Oct. 5, 2022.
Deserving personnel of TOG2, numerous heads of regional government offices, stakeholders, and media personalities were recognized for their exemplary service and efforts rendered for the accomplishment of the projects being implemented by TOG2, led by LtCol. Sadiri R. Tabutol, group commander.
This year’s celebration was dubbed “Lipad TOG2 @ 20: Patuloy na Paglilingkod ng inyong Hukbong Himpapawid sa Lambak ng Cagayan at Hilagang Cordllera Tungo sa Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran”.
BGen. Audrey L. Pasia, acting commander of the 5th Infantry Division (5ID), BGen. Steve D. Crespillo and BGen. Danilo D. Benavidez, commanders of 501st and 502nd Infantry Brigade respectively were also present during the said occasion.
Meanwhile, a bloodletting activity was conducted in partnership with Philippine Red Cross prior to the culmination of the founding anniversary.
At least 43 bags of blood were extracted from the donors.
Tabutol said at least 70 individuals coming from Cauayan City Police Station, PRO-2 Cauayan Training Center, Air Force Reservists, Kabalikat Civicom Cauayan and CV Eagles Club joined the bloodletting activity.
He said the extracted blood will be used for sick soldiers and other individuals who are in dire need of blood due to illnesses.
A dental mission in collaboration with the 5ID, Philippine Army dental service team and a clean-up drive along the stretch of Cauayan City airport road to which 20 fabricated trash bins were strategically placed here were also been conducted.
