THANK YOU IRISAN
The city government thanked barangay Irisan for responding to the call for augmentation in the transport of asymptomatic COVID-19 patients in the district. The barangay designated a vehicle for this purpose which was inspected by the Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Head Dr. Dandeo Halog and Sanitation Division Chief Engr. Charles Carame, both of the City Health Services Office.
Four districts earlier provided their own transport units and the city hopes that more districts will respond to the call. Since the surge in COVID-19 cases started, the city has been having a hard time coping with the number of patients awaiting transport to the facilities. The city sought to remedy this by hiring units to augment the existing ambulances and by tapping the assistance of the barangays. Contributed photos
