TESDA-Mt. Province Strengthens Commitment in Providing Programs and Services to PDLs
Mt. Province – (September 15, 2022) – A total of 25 individuals consisting of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) and staff from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) will undergo a Community Based Training Program on Introduction to Driving from September 13 to 17, 2022.
The aforementioned training is in partnership with the BJMP-Mountain Province District Jail. It will be handled by Mr. Jeff Dustin Layog, a tapped trainer in Driving NCII. This training will prepare and enable the participants with the necessary skills on proper motor vehicle maintenance, defensive driving, and road traffic rules and regulations thru provision of knowledge, skills, and right attitude in accordance with industry standards, including regulatory requirements issued by regulatory boards.
In his message during the opening, Mr. Rayjan T. Papat, the CBT Focal, urged the PDLs to equip themselves with skills and knowledge while inside the facility for them to use for future employment opportunities upon release.
Meanwhile, Jail Inspector Pablo A. Las-egan, Jr. thanked the TESDA-MPPO for the unwavering support in providing skills training to the PDLs and to the staff as well. ### (TESDA File Photos)
