SUSPECT LISTED AS A REGIONAL TOP TEN DRUG PERSONALITY BUSTED IN ITOGON, BENGUET

CAMP MAJOR BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – (June 22, 2021) – A suspect listed as a Regional Top Ten Drug Personality was arrested in an anti-illegal drugs operation conducted by joint operatives of Cordillera police led by the Regional Intelligence Division of PROCOR together with Itogon MPS, Benguet PDEU, and RIU-14, in the afternoon of June 21, 2021, in Virac, Itogon Benguet.

Citing the reports, PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, identified the arrested suspect as Winden Pimentel Baggay aka “Baggay,” 29, a construction worker/miner, and a resident of Skyview, Virac, Itogon, Benguet.

The arrest of Baggay was prompted by a transaction with a Confidential Informant together with an undercover operative who acted as a poseur buyer.

Accordingly, Baggay sold one (1) sachet of suspected shabu weighing 2 grams with total Standard Drug Price (SDP) amounting to Php 13,600.00 to the poseur buyer.

In the course of his arrest, another one (1) sachet of suspected shabu weighing 1.5 grams with SDP of Php 10,200.00 was recovered from his possession along with the buy-bust money and a touchscreen cellphone.

The markings and inventory of all confiscated items were accomplished onsite duly witnessed by Brgy Kagawad Alex Tongalag and media representative Charles Nikko Limon.

Further, suspect Baggay will now be facing charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165). (PROCOR-PIO)
