STREET-LEVEL DRUG PERSONALITY BUSTED IN BAGUIO CITY

A street-level drug personality is now facing charges for violation of RA 9165 or the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002” after the implementation of a search warrant in his residence yielded in the seizure of five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu.

According to the reports submitted to PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, the suspect was identified as Marlon Velaga Calub, 39 years old and a resident of Outlook Drive, Baguio City.

According to the same report, joint operatives of BCPO Pacdal Police Station (PS3), Regional Intelligence Division (RID), and Regional PNP Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) implemented a search warrant issued by Hon. Judge Maria Ligaya Itliong – Rivera of RTC Branch 5, Baguio City.

During the search, five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing more or less nine grams with a standard drug price of Php 61,200.00 were confiscated by the operatives.

Markings and inventory of the confiscated pieces of evidence were conducted on-site in the presence of the arrested suspect and duly witnessed by Pros. Bernard Allan V. Angeles, Department of Justice (DOJ) representative; Christopher Bartolo, media representative, and Kagawad Renato Flores of Barangay Outlook Drive, Baguio City.

The arrested suspect and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the custody of BCPO Pacdal Police Station for documentation and proper disposition. (PROCOR-PIO)
