SSS La Union is now a digital branch
SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union – Social Security System (SSS) La Union branch is now converted as a Digital Branch for faster, safer, and easier SSS transactions of its over 100,000 members, pensioners, and employers who are living and doing business in the northern part of the province.
“As we gear towards digitalization, SSS continues to provide world-class quality and excellent service to its members through a more convenient and updated facility. SSS La Union is committed to being part of this endeavor in guiding our members in shifting from manual transactions to digital transactions using our various online services,” SSS La Union Branch Head Francisco Pentecostes said.
The SSS La Union Digital branch has three sections- the E-Center, Mobile App Learning Center (MALC), and Customer Care Center.
The E-Center Section has eight available computers that clients can use to generate their Social Security (SS) Numbers; and reset My.SSS account password; register disbursement account/s; apply for benefits and loans; update contact information; and request for simple member data change. Regular and household employers may also use the computers to verify and update their My.SSS registration status and profiles.
Meanwhile, members with smart cellphones or tablets are directed to the Mobile App Learning Center where they are taught how to install the SSS Mobile App which they can use to check contribution and loan records; inquire status of coverage and claims; file transactions for their loans and benefits; generate Payment Reference Number (PRN) for contributions and pay contributions and loans online.
Other transactions that still require face-to-face processing such as receipt of retirement benefit applications for members with dependents; receipt of death benefit applications from secondary, designated, and legal heirs; submission of additional documents requested by the branch in support of benefit claim application; correction of overpayment; posting of SSS payments; manual verification; cancellation of Social Security (SS) Numbers; Annual Confirmation of Pensioners (ACOP) compliance; receipt of Pensioner’s Data Change Request, Pension Loan application and other concerns involving SSS online channels are being referred to the Customer Care Center.
“With the existing service enhancements, rest assured that SSS La Union will continue to extend assistance to all transacting members, pensioners, and employers, especially those who are digitally challenged in using our SSS Website, My.SSS Portal and SSS Mobile App. Once they are already acquainted with using our digital services, our clients can finally transact online in the comfort of their homes or offices at their own pace and time,” SSS Vice President for Luzon North 1 Division Ceasar P. Saludo concluded.
SSS La Union branch is located at the Government Center, Brgy. Sevilla, San Fernando City La Union. ### (PR)
