SSS implements KaSSSanga Collect, eWheels sa Barangay programs in San Isidro, Abra
BANGUED, Abra – The Social Security System (SSS) Bangued Branch and Local Government Unit (LGU) of San Isidro, Abra signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) last May 12, 2023, that will benefit 107 Job Orders (JO) and Contract of Service (COS) workers under SSS KaSSSangga Collect Program.
Under the partnership, JOs/COS will be registered as self-employed members of the SSS. Meanwhile, the LGU San Isidro shall facilitate the deduction of monthly contributions from the JOs/COS workers’ salaries and remit these to SSS Bangued as they fall due.
The regular remittance of SSS contributions shall make the JOs and COS workers qualified for social security benefits under the Social Security (e.g. sickness, maternity, disability, retirement, death, and funeral); and Employees’ Compensation (e.g. sickness, disability, death) Programs. They can also avail of short-term loan privileges such as salary, calamity, and pension loans.
The “SSS eWheels sa Barangay” was also simultaneously conducted to provide SSS services closer to the barangays and teach its clientele on how to use various digital platforms like the SSS Website, My.SSS Portal, USSSap Tayo Portal, and the SSS Website. Constituents of LGU San Isidro were also assisted on their contribution and loan verifications, disbursement account enrollment, benefit and loan application, and other SSS online services.
