SLU is top performing school in Jan. 2021 Med Tech board exam

BAGUIO CITY, Feb. 10(PIA) — The Professional Regulation Commission announced that Saint Louis University is the top performing school in the Medical Technologist Licensure Examination conducted in January 2021.
All of the 139 examinees of SLU passed the board exam for a 100 percentage passing rate compared to the 67.69% national passing rate.
SLU graduate Angelica Mae Bautista Aguilar also ranked number 5 in the list of successful examinees with a rating of 89.60.
Out of the 2,835 examinees, 1,919 passed the Medical Technologist licensure examination given by the Board of Medical Technology in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga in January 2021,the PRC announced. The results were released in 11 working days from the last day of exam.
The PRC also informed from March 9 to March 29, 2021, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Successful examinees should go online thru www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.
Those who will register are required to bring the following: downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, notice of admission (for identification only), 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag), two sets of documentary stamps and one piece short brown envelope.
Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals. The PRC will announce the date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new medical technologists.
The PRC a advised that those who failed in the medtech board exam but had obtained a general rating of at least 70% can register as Medical Laboratory Technician.
SLU was ranked as the second best performing school in the March 2019 Medical Technologist board exams. It had a 99.65 passing rate with 285 passers including one in the Top 10, out of 286 examinees. (JDP/RMC- PIA CAR)
