Sen. Revilla pours relief goods in Region 2
SANTIAGO CITY—Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla brought thousands of relief goods to the three provinces of Region 2 on Nov. 19, 2024, for the victims of floods caused by typhoons Nika and Pepito.
In Santiago, an independent city of the Province of Isabela, more or less 1000 individuals gathered together at Brgy. Rosario Community Center. The distribution was led by the Senator before he left for the Province of Quirino. Aside from conducting the same activity here, he approved the 100M fund through the proposal of Quirino Gov. Dax Cua and his wife Congresswoman Midy Cua. The fund is allotted for the Farm-to-market Road Projects and additional funds for the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation.
Before noon on the same day, the Senator went to Carlos M. Padilla Convention Center in the heart of the province of Nueva Vizcaya. 3000 relief goods were distributed here.
It can be recalled that numerous barangays in Region 2 were flooded. At present, the three provinces in Region 2 where the Senator poured relief goods are still recovering from the damages caused by the series of typhoons that hardly hit the region.
Meanwhile, the province of Cagayan continues to face flooding, as it serves as the region’s primary catch basin. Based on reports, Buntun Bridge in Tuguegarao City marked a critical level of 11.2 meters as of 8:00 o’clock PM today.
Region 2 (Cagayan Valley) has five provinces: Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, and Quirino.# Mae Barangan
