Search Warrant yields three Drug Personalities; P1.2 marijuana burned
PROCOR’s anti-illegal drugs efforts continue to gain grounds following the arrest of three drug personalities and seizure of Php 339,048.00 worth of shabu after the implementation of search warrants conducted in the provinces of Apayao and Baguio City on March 8 to 9, 2023.
Based on the reports submitted to the PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN MAFELINO ASPERO BAZAR, the arrested suspects were identified as Wilmer Eboy Lingayo listed as Streel Level Individual (SLI), 37; Grace Ubusan Sibug listed as High-Value Individual (HVI), 47, and Kryzer Jewel Solis Dela Concha listed as SLI, 26.
In Brgy. Caglayan, Conner, Apayao, joint operatives of Apayao PPO, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15, and PDEA-Apayao arrested suspect Lingayo after they implemented a search warrant issued by Judge Greta Mae B. Gayagay of 6th MCTC, 2nd Judicial Region, Kabugao-Conner, Kabugao, Apayao.
During the search, operatives found and confiscated four (4) plastic sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 1.86 grams and a Standard Drug Price (SDP) amounting to Php 12,648.00 from the suspect’s residence.
Further, in Brgy. Leonila Hill, Baguio City, suspects Sibug and Dela Concha were arrested after joint operatives of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)-CAR, BCPO Aurora Hill Police Station (PS6), and PDEA-Baguio found and confiscated thirteen (13) plastic sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 48 grams with an SDP of Php 326,400.00 from the suspect’s residence.
The markings and inventory of the pieces of evidence recovered were done on-site in the presence of the arrested suspects and witnessed by representatives from the Department of Justice (DOJ), media, and elected barangay officials.
Meanwhile, the continuous search of PROCOR cops for clandestine marijuana plantation sites has resulted in the discovery of 6,000 pieces of fully-grown marijuana plants (FGMP) with SDP of Php1,200,000.00 in Sitio Talipaya, Barangay Badeo, Kibungan, Benguet.
All marijuana plants were uprooted and burned on-site site while a continuous investigation is ongoing to identify possible cultivators. (PROCOR-PIO /File photos)
