RPIO and WCPD PRO-Cordillera led the symposium in observance of National Crime Prevention Week at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Montessori

PLTCOL CAROLINA F LACUATA, the Chief of the Regional Public Information Office of PRO Cordillera, together with PMAJ MARCY GRACE U MARRON, Chief of the Regional Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD), served as speakers during a school symposium held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Montessori, Camdas Subdivision, Baguio City, on September 6, 2023.

Also present during the activity were Ms. Editha Semilla-Puddoc, the Regional Director of the National Police Commission-Cordillera, Ms. Dona Digna S. Rosario, the Directress of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Montessori, and the personnel of the Women and Children Protection Desk, Baguio City Police Office.

During the activity, PLTCOL LACUATA conducted a lecture on “Navigating Physical Injuries: From Causes to Recovery and Prevention, while PMAJ MARRON discussed topics on “Confronting Sexual Assault: Unveiling the Reality of Rape “.

The activity was conducted in observance of National Crime Prevention Week from September 1 to 7 by Presidential Proclamation No. 461 issued on August 31, 1994, with the theme “Addressing Crime and Advancing Crime Prevention at the Local, National, and Global Levels.”

Further, the symposium aims to raise awareness and promote crime prevention among the students of the said school, as well as strengthen police-community relations. (PRO CORDILLERA-PIO / File Photos)
