Regional Anti-Cyber Crime Unit Cordillera arrested two most wanted persons in 2-days ops
Two individuals listed as Most Wanted Persons were arrested following the intensified manhunt operations conducted by the operatives of the Regional Anti-Cyber Crime Unit (RACU) Cordillera in two consecutive operations on January 16 and 17, 2024.
Based on the report from RACU Cordillera, the arrested persons were identified as Roland Cerico Araojo, 46 and Danica Dela Cruz Valdez, 21, listed as the No. 1 and No. 2 MWP of the RACU Cordillera, respectively.
Suspect Araojo was arrested by the operatives of RACU Cordillera on January 16, 2024, in Dasmariñas City, while suspect Valdez was arrested on January 17,2024, in Malolos City, Bulacan.
Both suspects were arrested by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest issued by Honorable Ivan Kim B Morales, Presiding Judge, RTC Branch 59, Baguio City for Violation of Access Devices Regulation Act of 1998 (Credit Card Violation Act) as amended by RA 11449.
PCOL MA THERESA GUINTO-PUCAY, Chief of RACU Cordillera, commended the RACU COR personnel for promptly implementing arrest warrants related to Anti-Cybercrime Prevention Act violations.
