PTF – ELCAC conducts Community Consultation

Police officers of the Kalinga Police Provincial Office, led by the Officer in Charge, PCOL FREDDIE LAZONA, attended the Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict Community (ELCAC) Consultation was held in Barangay Dao-angan, Balbalan, Kalinga on September 6, 2023.

The consultation was initiated by Hon. Governor James S. Edduba of Kalinga, together with Dir. Anthony Manolo I. Ballug of the Department of Interior and Local Government – Kalinga and was also attended by the1503rd Maneuver Company of Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15; medical doctors from Camp Juan M Duyan District Hospital; Bureau of Fire Protection-Balbalan; troops from the Philippine Army; and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology.

As the highlight of the program, the attendees actively participated in the open forum to identify the issues and concerns of the identified ELCAC Barangays and ways to effectively implement government programs and deliver government services to the communities.

Aside from the consultation meeting, a medical mission was also conducted, where the team provided free services like circumcision, medical consultation, laboratory tests, fluoridization, and dental check-ups.

Further, police officers offered a free haircut and distributed IEC materials and calling cards with the hotline numbers of the different police stations and units of the Kalinga PPO.
