PROCOR PREPARES FOR SUPER TYPHOON MAWAR

In preparation for the onslaught of Super Typhoon Mawar, PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR.,  led the Simultaneous Showdown Inspection of the Search Rescue and Retrieval (SRR) and the Reactionary Standby Support Force (RSSF) Teams and Equipment held at the PROCOR Parade Ground, Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet on May 26, 2023.

PBGEN PEREDO JR., together with other members of the Command Group inspected all available equipment & mobility, ambulances, and PROCOR trucks, including the Regional SRR and RSSF teams from the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB15) 15 and Benguet Provincial Police Office (PPO).

Also, the Regional Director inspected the Medical Team of the Regional Medical and Dental Unit (RMDU), the Canine Team of the Regional EOD and Canine Unit (RECU) Cordillera, the Communication Team of the Regional Communications and Electronics Unit (RCEU), and the Disaster Identification Team of Regional Forensic Unit (RFU).

The said activity was simultaneously conducted in the City and the different Police Provincial Offices (PPOs) which aims to assess the serviceability and the completeness of the said equipment including the capabilities, and performance of the SRR and RSSF teams of PROCOR.

Further, PBGEN PEREDO JR. ordered the deployment of a total of 450 police officers as members of SRR teams, while 548 police officers are members of the RSSF teams for possible deployment.

In his message, PBGEN PEREDO JR reiterated the importance of preparedness and planning for any weather and natural disturbances because adequate readiness can save lives, save resources and there is a greater chance of survival. (PROCOR-PIO / File photos)
