PROCOR Kicks 0ff National Women’s month celebration

Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet – (March 2, 2021)  –  Celebrating the National Women’s Month with the theme: “We make change work for women”, the Police Regional Office Cordillera welcomed the month with a kick-off ceremony held at the PROCOR Parade Ground in Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet.

Aimed at highlighting the important role of women especially of police officers as active contributors in the peace and development of Cordillera, the different units of PROCOR joined in the month-long celebration with a kick-off ceremony in their respective Police Provincial Offices (PPO).

Gracing the occasion as the guest of honor and speaker is Ms. Kristine E. Molitas, the Corporate Secretary and Co-Founder of Bayanihan Cordillera, a civil society organization engaged in charitable activities and social action movements. The group works with various sectors to help in relief operations, supporting frontline workers and trading activities for farmers during this pandemic.

In her message, Ms. Molitas highlighted the role of women in law enforcement. She also shared the 3R’s, three things she learned from working with the Philippine National Police, first being Relationship – forming good relations and building genuine trust with the people, Resilience, being able to grow despite life’s downturns, and Resonance, that everything we do, whether big or small, has an impact on the lives of people around us.

She added that these must be possessed by every police officer for them to work effectively in their duties and responsibilities.

She further reiterated that “our titles, jobs, professions and even our ranks are not who we are, they do not define us, what makes an impact is if we use our given gifts for the greater good. We women play an important part of the PNP, we have the ability to make a change, and we matter”.  (PROCOR RPIO)
