PROCOR joins the celebration of Women’s Month through simultaneous kick-off ceremonies
To recognize the contributions and achievements of all empowered women in society, the unit commanders of the different Police Provincial Offices of PROCOR celebrated the 2023 National Women’s Month through a simultaneous Kick-off Ceremony held in their respective offices.
In Abra, PCOL MALY CULA, the Provincial Director of the Abra Police Provincial Office (PPO) spearheaded the kick-off ceremony in Camp Juan Villamor, Brgy. Calaba, Bangued.
The program was graced by the Hon. Rovelyn E Villamor, Mayor of Lagangilang as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.
In her message, Mayor Villamor emphasized the evolution of women’s role in society and the perception of women that has changed over time.
As part of the program, male police officers paraded wearing high heels, their experience using women’s footwear serves as their reflection on how it was to balance life as a wife, mother, office worker, and family leader. Also, a senior citizen and a pregnant woman received grocery packs from PCOL CULA.
In Apayao, the men and women of the Apayao Police Provincial Office joined the Kick-Off Ceremony held at Camp Gov. Elias K. Bulut Sr. and Training Center in Brgy. Sta. Lina, Luna.
Hon. Amy I. Alafag-Verzola, Presiding Judge of MCTC in Luna, Apayao served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.
The activity was highlighted with the awarding of commendations to distinguished three (3) female police officers and one (1) Non-Uniformed personnel of Apayao PPO.
Meanwhile, in Kalinga, PCOL CHARLES L DOMALLIG, the Provincial Director of Kalinga PPO spearheaded the Kick-Off Ceremony held at Camp Captain Juan M. Duyan in Brgy. Bulanao, Tabuk City.
As the highlights of the activity, eleven (11) female police officers were given Certificates of Recognition for their notable accomplishments.
Further in Ifugao, PCOL DAVY VICENTE LIMMONG, the Acting Provincial Director of Ifugao PPO, spearheaded the kick-off ceremony held at Camp Col. Joaquin P Dunuan, Brgy. Poblacion South, Lagawe.
Dean Janice Milo of the College of Criminal Justice Education of the Ifugao State University (Lamut Campus) graced the activity as the guest of honor and speaker.
As the highlight of the activity, five (5) police officers were given Certificates of Commendation and Recognition for their notable accomplishments.
Themed with: “WE for gender equality and inclusive society”, the active participation of the different units of PROCOR aims to bring together all women and men to celebrate the gains in mainstreaming gender equality and to highlight women’s empowerment. (PROCOR-PIO / File photos)
