PROCOR joins DOH MEDIA forum on “Iwas-Paputok campaign” update

As the countdown to New Year 2023 ended,  PROCOR’s Deputy Regional Director for Operations, PCOL RONALD V GAYO, attended the Department Of Health Media Forum held at the Baguio General Hospital Medical Center Garden, Baguio City on January 1, 2023.

The media forum presided by the DOH OIC-Secretary, Dr. Maria Rosario Singh-Vergeire were also participated by several representatives from DOH-CAR, BGHMC and Bureau of Fire Protection-CAR.

With talks on fireworks-related incidents and stray bullet incidents recorded during the New Year’s revelry, PCOL GAYO mentioned the initiatives and preparations made by PROCOR in ensuring a safe and peaceful welcoming of New Year in the entire region.

“Series of meeting ang ginagawa natin with the Provincial Directors, tinitignan namin yung paghahanda sa pagsalubong sa bagong taon. At focus din namin yung intervention on addressing the proliferation of loose firearms dito sa region. Kasama na rin dito yung arrest of wanted persons”, PCOL GAYO said.

As of today, according to the monitoring of the Regional Operations Division, the region is generally peaceful. Although earlier this morning, two (2) victims of stray bullets were reported in the province of Abra.

However, with the reported incidents, PBGEN MAFELINO A BAZAR, PROCOR Regional Director, had already ordered for the immediate identification of the suspects involved within 72 hours. (PROCOR-PIO / File photos)
