PROCOR CELEBRATES 125th PHILIPPINE INDEPENDENCE DAY
In celebration of the 125th Independence Day, the Police Regional Office Cordillera hosted a simultaneous flag-raising ceremony in the different Provincial and City police offices on June 12, 2023.
This year’s Independence Day was celebrated with the theme: “Kalayaan. Kinabukasan. Kasaysayan. (Freedom. Future. History.)”
In Mountain Province, PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR., led the celebration of the 125th Independence Day held in Camp Lt Geronimo F Montes in Bontoc Mountain Province where he delivered the message of the Chief, Philippine National Police, Police General BENJAMIN C ACORDA JR. The activity culminated with the release of doves as a symbol of our freedom and independence.
Subsequently, PBGEN PEREDO JR. was invited to grace the same occasion as the Guest of Honor and Speaker at the Provincial Plaza in Bontoc, Mountain Province initiated by the Provincial Government of Mountain Province. He was joined by the Congressman, Hon. Maximo Dalog Jr, Governor, Hon. Bonifacio Lacwasan Jr, Vice Governor, Hon. Francis Tauli, and Board Members from District 2 of Mt. Province.
Meanwhile, in the PROCOR Regional Headquarters, PBGEN PATRICK JOSEPH G ALLAN, Deputy Regional Director for Administration (DRDA), led the Independence Day celebration held at the PROCOR Grounds in Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet.
The ceremony was also attended by other members of the Command Group, the Chief Regional Staff, the Regional Staff, the Chiefs of the Regional Support Units, and other PRO COR personnel.
Brother Gabriel Francisco, from the Church of God, MCGI, delivered the opening prayer, while PLT ELISA ENRIQUEZ led the recitation of the Panunumpa ng Katapatan sa Watawat ng Pilipinas.
As a highlight of the ceremony PBGEN PATRICK JOSEPH ALLAN, DRDA; PCOL RONALD V GAYO, the Deputy Regional Director for Operations (DRDO); PCOL JULIO S LIZARDO, Chief Regional Staff (CRS); and PCOL BYRON TEGUI-IN, Chief of the Regional Community Affairs and Development Division (RCADD), lead the freeing of white doves as a sign of freedom.
Closing the ceremony, the men and women of the Police Regional Office Cordillera waved the Philippine Flag while singing the Pilipinas Kong Mahal.
