PRO Cordillera Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR, together with Benguet PPO Provincial Director, PCOL DAMIAN D OLSIM, attended the 123rd Foundation Anniversary of Benguet and Adivay Festival 2023 held at the Provincial Capitol, Brgy. Poblacion, La Trinidad, Benguet on November 6, 2023.

With the year’s theme “BENGUET: Getaway to Unforgettable Getaways,” the grand celebration aims not only to promote the tourist spots in Benguet but also to acknowledge the efforts of its people in maintaining the rich culture of the province. The event holds special significance due to Benguet’s role as a primary gateway for travelers to various tourist destinations.

In his message, the Governor of Benguet, Hon. Melchor Daguines Diclas expressed his gratitude to PRO Cordillera for their unwavering support in nurturing and preserving Benguet’s vibrant culture, recognizing the province’s role as a doorway to the region’s beautiful locales.

The Adivay celebration includes traditional activities and features a fashion show highlighting designs by local talents from the province’s 13 towns, showcasing exquisite handwoven cloth (inabel) creations.

PRO Cordillera cops have security measures in place to ensure peace and order during the month-long celebration. These include the establishment of assistance desks in different parts of the municipality, the deployment of personnel to provide traffic direction and control to motorists, and police visibility to places of convergence.
