PRO-COR COPS conducted Tree-Planting and Clean-up Drive activities
In support of the government’s campaign on environmental protection, the PRO Cordillera cops successfully conducted tree-planting and clean-up drive activities in different provinces in the region on January 16 and 17, 2024.
In Apayao, the Pasindayaw cops of Pudtol Municipal Police Station (MPS) conducted a clean-up drive along Nagan River in Brgy. Lydia, Pudtol, on January 16, 2024. During the activity, the police officers picked up, sorted, and properly disposed of the collected trash in the area.
Meanwhile, in Kalinga, the Lumin-awa cops of Lubuagan MPS, together with the Kaligtasan at Kalikasan “KALIGKASAN” volunteers, participated in a tree-planting activity at Butigui Spring, Brgy. Mabilong, Lubuagan, Kalinga on January 16, 2024. A total of 30 fruit-bearing trees, including rambutan and citrus trees, were planted during the activity.
Additionally, in Mountain Province, the Inayan cops of Natonin MPS initiated a tree-planting activity in Sitio Alyawan, Brgy. Balangao, Natonin, on January 17, 2024. In addition to revisiting previously planted trees, the police officers planted a total of 40 mahogany trees, replacing withered plants and ensuring proper tree growth in the area.
The said activity was actively participated in by personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection-Natonin, members of the Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo, and barangay officials of Natonin.
