PRO-CAR HIGHLIGHTS ACCOMPLISMENTS AT “KAPIHAN SA BAGONG PILIPINAS 2024”

The Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR, showcased the programs and achievements of PRO-CAR during “Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas,” held at PRO-CAR Log Cabin, Camp Major Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet, on August 6, 2024.

During the event, the Chief of Regional Operations Division, PCOL FROILAND B LOPEZ, delivered a comprehensive review of PRO-CAR’s operational and administrative accomplishments from June 30, 2022, to July 31, 2024, under the “Bagong Pilipinas Administration” of His Excellency, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. The presentation covered various topics, including the successful campaign against illegal drugs, terrorism, loose firearms, illegal gambling, and logging. It also addressed the current peace and order situation, crime statistics in the Cordillera, infrastructure projects, efforts towards a drug-free workplace, ISO certification, and legal cases involving PRO-CAR personnel.

Following the presentation, PBGEN PEREDO JR. addressed issues and concerns during the open forum. He emphasized PRO-CAR’s unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and order in the region and highlighted his R.O.A.D to discipline, which focuses on instilling discipline among Cordillera officers and ensuring their well-being to ensure PRO-CAR remains the Home of the Most Disciplined Cops. He also addressed concerns regarding rape cases in the region through the implementation of PRO-CAR’s “Pani-o” program and discussed measures taken to ensure a peaceful election.

“Gusto ng PRO-CAR na pangalagaan at panatilihin ang kapayapaan at katahimikan ng Cordillera. Para magawa natin ang mga ibang programa at plano natin sa buhay upang maging matagumpay at progresibo ang ating rehiyon,” PBGEN PEREDO stated.

Also, Dir. Editha S. Puddoc of NAPOLCOM-CAR expressed her support for PRO-CAR’s program and commended police officers for their dedication and commitment, noting the minimal number of cases filed against its officers. She further discussed the application processes for aspiring police officers and other programs conducted by NAPOLCOM-CAR.

The panelists who joined PBGEN PEREDO JR and Dir. Editha S. Puddoc was the Deputy Regional Director for Administration, PBGEN ROGELIO Z RAYMUNDO, JR, and the Chief Regional Staff, PCOL JULIO S LIZARDO, who also discussed further details on the topics highlighted and presented.

The said Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas was anchored by the Regional Director of the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) – CAR, Ms. Helen R.
