PRO CAR Cops Dismantle Three Plantations, Destroy P520K Marijuana Plants

As part of the Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region’s (PRO CAR) ongoing efforts to eradicate marijuana cultivation in the region, a total of PhP520,000.00 worth of marijuana plants were destroyed in three separate plantation sites in Benguet on February 23, 2025.
In Kapangan, a joint operation launched by PRO CAR’s Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit, the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO), and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Cordillera Administrative Region (PDEA-CAR) led to the discovery and destruction of 2,000 fully grown marijuana plants (FGMJP) with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of PhP400,000.00 in Barangay Sagubo.
Simultaneously, in Kibungan, Barangay Tacadang, joint operatives from the Benguet PPO and PDEA-CAR located two marijuana plantation sites containing a total of 600 FGMJP with an SDP of PhP120,000.00.
All discovered plants were documented, uprooted, and burned on-site, while enough samples were collected and submitted to the Regional Forensic Unit Cordillera Administrative Region for further analysis.
PRO CAR Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR, commended the operatives for their dedication and vigilance in the fight against illegal drugs.
