PRO-CAR COMMEMORATES 123RD POLICE SERVICE ANNIVERSARY

Marking 123 years of outstanding public service, the men and women of the Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO-CAR) gathered at the Multi-Purpose Center in Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet, on August 8, 2024, to celebrate the Police Service Anniversary.

The event was spearheaded by the Deputy Regional Director for Administration, PBGEN ROGELIO Z RAYMUNDO, JR, and attended by the Chief Regional Staff, PCOL JULIO S LIZARDO, along with the Regional Staff, Special Staff, Chiefs of the Regional Support Units, and other PRO-CAR personnel.

The celebration began with a traditional Cordilleran divination ritual, followed by a holy mass officiated by the Regional Pastoral Officer, PMAJ (Rev. Father) ALEXANDER V PARDO. The highlight of the event included a presentation of PRO-CAR’s administrative and operational achievements, complemented by a raffle draw—a token of appreciation for the personnel’s unwavering commitment and dedication.

In his message, PBGEN RAYMUNDO JR, expressed his gratitude to all personnel for their service, underscoring the crucial role each officer plays in maintaining community security and safety. “Tayong mga kapulisan ang naging haligi ng pundasyon ng organisasyong ito. Kahit gaano kalaki ang inyong trabaho, basta’t ginagawa ninyo ng tama at maayos, ‘yun ang inyong kontribusyon at kwento sa trabaho at responsibilidad, ganun din ang obligasyon na nakapatong sa ating balikat,” he stated.

He also conveyed the message of the Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR, encouraging PRO-CAR officers to persist in their pursuit of excellence, uphold integrity, and work towards a safer and brighter future for both the Cordillera Administrative Region and the entire country.

The event concluded with a boodle fight, showcasing camaraderie and unity among personnel. This lively tradition added a joyful and spirited dimension to the celebration, enhancing the sense of community and festivity among all participants.

The PRO-CAR’s celebration of the 123rd Police Service Anniversary emphasizes the dedication and accomplishments of the officers and units who have consistently demonstrated excellence and commitment in upholding their duties.
