Thirteen beautiful and talented young ladies candidates for Miss Baguio 2024 expressed their advocacy about developing their personalities in a press conference held at the Venus Parkview Hotel on August 3, 2024.
The candidates showed their skills in answering the questions from the journalists.
In an interview with Ms. Gwendoline Soriano from Bakakeng Central, “I started performing in school at the age of three. I developed my love for culture and arts at a young age – performing cultural dances up until college when I became a part of our university’s dance troupe. I am an introvert but a people person. I am more artistic than athletic. I have a butterfly tattoo that is inspired by a movie in which my late father got my name. I can cry easily. I’ve done more than 20 commercials/digital ads in my almost 4 years of modeling. Some people might think that I’m a jack of all trades and a master of none, but I believe that I am a master of whatever I put my heart and soul into. I always seek excellence, integrity, and a greater purpose. I am a child of God,”
“I tried joining Miss Pangasinan, and I won, I tried also Miss Northern Luzon, and I won First Runner-up and now here in Baguio City, it was my first time joining,” Gwen concluded
Meanwhile, journalists were allowed to vote for “Darling of the Press” and the winner will be announced during the coronation night on August 30, at the Baguio Convention and Cultural Center.
On August 9, there will be a Glamour Night from 3 to 6 PM, to be attended by Councilors, Barangay Heads, and Media at Valencias Resto.
The Supervising Tourism Operations Officer Engr. Aloysius C. Mapalo listened intently and witnessed the presentation of Miss Baguio candidates in the question-and-answer portion of the media. # Mario Oclaman //Filipino News Sentinel
