To tackle and discuss the situation of the National and Local Elections in the Cordillera region this coming May 9, 2022 despite the pandemic. Held at the Camp Major Bado Dangwa last February 9, 2022.

In the opening statement of  PROCOR Regional Director PBEN LEE, “We are ready to implement ng mga policies ng Comelec kung ano yun kanilang matutunan para sa malinis at ligtas na May 9, 2022 National and Local Election, we have kick-off nung January 9, Nationwide Comelec Checkpoint at violation ng gun ban at luckily talagang peaceful ang Cordillera wala tayong nag violate sa patakaran ng gun ban, may mangilan ilan rin nangyari  scenario sa ibang checkpoint na inimplement natin dahil massive talaga yun paghihigpit natin sa mga checkpoints para masigurado na ligtas ang ating rehiyon sa lahat ng karahasan kung sino pa yun mga pwedeng mag violate, in coordination with the other enforcers units,we are ready and the direction also of the coordinate we always competent kung ano pa yun pwede namin maitulong or ma implement dito sa Regional office bearer of Armed Forces of the Philippines, maayos ang pag iimplement dito wala pang nakikitang mga problema and hopefully wala tayo makikitang problema hanggang sa matapos yun election handang handa na po ang PNP PROCOR,  Lee said

Mariin naman sinabi ni Comelec Abra Lawyer Dexter Barry Cawis kung nasa Alert Level 3 ang buong Cordillera ay may mga ipinagbabawal sa mga kandidato at sa mga supporter / campaigner – “Bawal ang in house in-person campaigning, mawawala yun house to house na papasok ang kandidato sa mga bahay, no shakehands, no hugs, no kisses no selfies ito ang mga in-person campaigning, sa meetings naman at mga meeting de avance, meeting ng mga supporters, sa motorcade naman ay pwede basta walang stop over at bababa ang kandidato at limited din yun sakay sa mga sasakyan na gagamitin sa motorcade,”

Samantala, Nagsimula na ang National candidate campaigning noong February 8, at naobserbahan na naging payapa naman ang kanilang pangangampanya, ayon kay BCPO Director Lonogan ay magkakaroon pa ng meeting ang executive committee with the Comelec officials para alamin kung ano ang mga Do’s and Don’t ng mga National Candidate at supporters sa kanilang pangangampanya.  Mario Oclaman /FNS
