PINK RIBBON DAY
Perfect opportunity to get together, Thanks, Hon. Michelle Rowland MP for hosting a pink-themed Ribbon Morning Tea and talk about women’s health,” Shelley Fletcher from Blacktown Workers Club gave a very touching and informative message to us all men and women, particularly in the working force.
Tragically, there are so many women diagnosed with breast or gynecological cancer each year.
This heartbreaking statistic is the powerful reason why we come together on Pink Ribbon Day, to show our support and raise awareness.
By participating in events like Pink Ribbon Day and raising funds the public can help the Cancer Council provide support services to improve the quality of life for those affected by women’s cancers, along with research into potential new treatments and prevention measures.
It was also a great opportunity to catch up with everyone and work with other Lions from District 201N5. Together “We Serve,” said Pres. Rissa McInnes Blacktown Ponds Lions Club, Inc —via Lion Carlos C. Meneses
