PESO reports 99.38 percent placement rate

The City Public Employment Service office (PESO) reported a 99.38 percent of referred job seekers or applicants to the various vacant positions locally and overseas as of November 8, 2022.

Further, the PESO was also able to facilitate the completion of the skills trainings of some 114 trainees for their various preferred skills in the different training centers duly accredited by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

Of the 22,741 job seekers and applicants who sought assistance from the PESO, some 22,600 job seekers and applicants were placed or landed a job which represents a whooping 99.38 placement rate.

Earlier, the PESO solicited some 29,006 vacancies from local employers and another 27,141 vacancies from overseas employers for a combined total of 56,147 vacancies during the said period.

In a related development, 35 individuals completed their driving NC II from the Baguio City School of Arts and Trade (BCSAT); 18 completed their beauty care services NC II from the North Skills Polytechnic College, Inc.; 15 were able to successfully complete there bread and pastry making NC II at the BCSAT; 13 hurdled the masonry NC II at the Regional Training Center (RTC) of TESDA; 12 graduated the shielded metal art work NC II at the RTC-TESDA; 11 completed their dressmaking NC II at the Benguet Technical School and 10 hurdled their product packaging and labeling for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) at the DTI Negosyo Center. – Dexter A.
