PDEA K9 DETECTS ILLEGAL DRUGS IN PARCEL

On February 1, 2025, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Cordillera through its Land Transportation Interdiction Unit  seized illegal drugs stashed in a package received by a courier service provider in Naguillian Road, Quezon Hill Proper, Baguio City.

The courier service operator opened the parcel in front of the witnesses after the PDEA Narcotic Detection Dog indicated a positive signal for the presence of illegal substances.

Two clear plastic sachets were enclosed in the package. These included a plastic sachet containing three (3) pieces of rolled paper with suspected dried marijuana leaves and a sealed plastic containing suspected dried marijuana leaves, wirh an estimated weight of 3 grams worth P410.00.

The suspect fled on a motorcycle after realizing his transaction was taking longer than expected.

The pieces of drug evidence were turned over to the PDEA-CAR Regional Laboratory Section for proper disposition while the investigation is ongoing. (PIO-PDEA CAR File Photos)
