PCPL Manzano Champ in Police Got Talent in La Union
The solo flute performance of PCpl Jumar Manzano had captivated the panel of judges, earning him points to be adjudged as the champion during the Area Police Command (APC) – Northern Luzon – Police Got Talent on May 27, 2022.
With the theme “Handog Pasasalamat ng Kapulisan sa Mapayapang Halalan 2022”, the competition was held at the PRO 1 Auditorium, Camp BGen Oscar M Florendo, Parian, San Fernando City, La Union.
Police Regional Office (PRO) Cordillera, PRO 1, PRO 2, and PRO 3 – units under the APC- Northern Luzon has competed in the solo and group category of the competition.
In the solo category, four contestants showcased their talents. PCpl Jumar Manzano stunned the judges with his rendition of the ‘Colors of the Wind’ using his handmade musical instruments.
Meanwhile, in the group category, four teams battled for the coveted Championship trophy. The Peace Maker Band of PROCOR played an original composition entitled Serbisyong Makatotohanan and they were announced as the 2nd Runner Up.
As a show of support, PROCOR Command Group in the person of PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, Regional Director; PBGEN JOHN C CHUA, Deputy Regional Director for Administration; PCOL BENJAMIN DL SEMBRANO, Deputy Regional Director for Operations; and PCOL ELMER E RAGAY, Chief Regional Staff have personally attended the activity to cheer the PROCOR contingent.
After the awarding ceremony, The Commander of APC-Norther Luzon, PLTGEN RODOLFO AZURIN JR, congratulated the winners in the solo and group categories and likewise expressed his gratitude to all Police Regional Offices for actively participating in the said competition.
“Kasama ng programa na ito ay ang pagbati natin sa Northern Luzon, Region 1, 2, 3 and Cordillera for a job well done for the National and Local Elections 2022… We work hard and we play hard too.”
Champions in the solo and group categories will be representing the Area Police Command-Northern Luzon in the Grand Finals that will be held at Flying V Arena, San Juan City, Metro Manila on June 4, 2022. (PROCOR-PIO)
