Panagbenga 2023 Grand Opening Parade relatively peaceful

PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN MAFELINO A BAZAR, announced on Wednesday (February 1, 2023) that the grand opening parade of Panagbenga Festival 2023 in Baguio City was relatively peaceful.

According to the reports submitted by PCOL FRANCISCO BULWAYAN JR., City Director of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), a total of 1,797 police officers including force multipliers, student interns, and volunteers were deployed to ensure the safety and security of the public.

The police officers were deployed to secure the parade routes for the safety of the parade participants and spectators. Also, reactionary forces, monitoring teams, and medical teams were strategically placed in different places of convergence and transport terminals.

With the heightened security measures, there were no major incidents reported that affected the opening of the Panagbenga Festival 2023.

Further, as the much-awaited Panagbenga Festival 2023 has now formally opened, the Regional Director assures the public of the continuous deployment of personnel to ensure the safety and security of the public. (PROCOR-PIO /File Photos)
