Over P160K worth of Shabu seized
Four (4) transparent sachets of suspected shabu were found in an unclaimed parcel in Lagawe, Ifugao on November 5, 2022.
Based on the report submitted to PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN MAFELINO A BAZAR, the unclaimed suspicious package was sent from Sampaloc, Manila through bus shipping on October 31, 2022, and arrived in the early morning of November 1, 2022, in Ohayami Bus Terminal located in Brgy. Poblacion East, Lagawe.
According to Lagawe Municipal Police Station (MPS), they received a request letter from the management of the bus transport informing them of an unclaimed suspicious package on November 1, 2022.
Immediately, the joint operatives of Lagawe MPS, Provincial EOD and Canine Unit (PECU), and PDEA conducted a sweeping operation in the bus terminal resulting in the recovery of four (4) transparent sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 13.5 grams with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 162,000.00.
Further, Lagawe MPS is still conducting a thorough investigation to know the whereabouts of the person whose name is written in the unclaimed package and to arrest those responsible for the transportation of illegal drugs.
Markings and inventory of the confiscated pieces of evidence were conducted on-site and duly witnessed by Punong Barangay Alfonso G. Dominong of Poblacion East; Lailanie B Maguiwe, media representative; and Jodelle Imayaho, Manager of Oyahami Bus Transport.
