No. 8 most wanted in the Regional Level captured after 12 years of hiding

Camp Bado Major Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet –  (April 20, 2021) – With the intensive monitoring of intel operatives and civilians who provided additional information, the No. 8 Most Wanted Person (MWP) in the Regional Level for the 2nd Quarter of 2021 was finally collared in the evening of April 19, 2021 at Sugo Guinzadan, Bauko, Mountain Province.

Based on reports submitted to the Regional Director PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, the suspect identified as Rosario “Sario” Cayabas Agustin, 52,  farmer and a former driver, was arrested through the joint efforts of Baguio CPO, Ifugao PPO, RMFB15 and PNP SAF operatives.

The suspect was tracked down in Sitio Sugo, Guinzadan, Bauko where he went hiding for 12 years, with the help of his former colleagues who positively identified him and gave info on his possible whereabouts.

Further, Cayabas is accused of Rape through Sexual Assault under Criminal Case No. 29413-R and with a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Iluminada P. Cabato of Regional Trial Court, First Judicial Region, Branch 59, Baguio City. 

He is brought to Baguio CPO – Pacdal Police Station (PS-3) for proper documentation prior turn over to issuing court. (PROCOR-PIO)
