NEWLY FORMED CREATIVE BAGUIO CITY COUNCIL

Mayor Benjamin Magalong signed today July 7, 2021, Executive Order No. 81, series 2021 an act designating the private sectoral members of the Creative Baguio City Council representing various cultures and the arts community, pursuant to Ordinance Numbered 46, series of 2021. The signing was witnessed by retired UP-Baguio chancellor Dr. Raymond Rovillos of the newly formed Creative Baguio City Council, Ferdinand Balanag, and Noly Balatero of the creative city council organized by the Mayor in November 2019. The executive order was a result of extensive consultation with the artists, artisans, and creative tourism workers recently held at the Baguio Convention Center. Not present were Councilors Vladimir Cayabas and Elaine Sembrano who shepherded the ordinance creating the city’s creative body.  Photo by Neil Clark Ongchangco
