New Aguinaldo MPS Building to Rise in Ifugao
Through the collaborative efforts of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Ifugao, a new three-story building for the Aguinaldo Municipal Police Station (MPS) under the Ifugao Police Provincial Office (PPO) will soon rise, following the groundbreaking ceremony held in Brgy. Poblacion, Aguinaldo, Ifugao on February 4, 2025.
To mark this milestone, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR, Regional Director of the Police Regional Office Cordillera (PRO-COR), led the ceremony as the guest of honor and speaker, joined by PCOL JEREMIAS G OYAWON, Provincial Director of Ifugao PPO; PCOL JEFFERSON P CARIAGA, Chief of the Regional Personnel and Records Management Division; PLTCOL CAROLINA F LACUATA, Chief of the Regional Public Information Office; PLTCOL JOEY JONATHAN B BAGAYAO, Assistant Chief of the Regional Logistics and Research Development Division;PCPT EDWIN B INHUMANG, Acting Chief of Police of Aguinaldo MPS; and other personnel from Ifugao PPO.
Local key officials present were Hon. Tom Guinomon, Executive Assistant from the Office of the Provincial Governor of Ifugao; Hon. Gaspar Chilagan Jr., Municipal Mayor of Aguinaldo; various barangay captains from Aguinaldo; representatives from the religious sector; and other officials of the Aguinaldo LGU.
In a message delivered on behalf of Ifugao Governor Hon. Jerry U. Dalipog, Hon. Guinomon conveyed the governor’s appreciation for the PNP’s continuous commitment to protecting communities and fostering strong partnerships with the government.
“I extend my gratitude to the Philippine National Police for their dedication to ensuring the safety and security of our people, especially here in Aguinaldo. The joint efforts of the PNP, LGU, and the community will not only strengthen the capabilities of the Aguinaldo MPS but also reinforce the sense of security and trust between the police and the public. As this new building rises, so too does the commitment to a future where peace and order prevail in every barangay of Ifugao,” Governor Dalipog’s message stated.
Meanwhile, Mayor Chilagan Jr. expressed his gratitude to the PNP for their steadfast commitment to public service. This new facility represents our shared goal of a peaceful and progressive Aguinaldo. With a more equipped and modern police station, our law enforcers will be able to serve our community even better, and we will continue to support the PNP in its mission to uphold peace and order,” Mayor Chilagan Jr. emphasized.
PBGEN PEREDO, JR, in response, thanked the LGU of Ifugao for its unwavering support of the PNP’s plans and programs. He encouraged police officers to remain dedicated, professional, and actively engaged in ensuring public safety.
