National vaccination days yields 21,176 vaccinees
Hardworking healthcare workers together with personnel from other offices manned forty-nine (49) vaccination sites and jabbed 21,176 vaccinees during National Vaccination Days; Nov. 29, 30 and Dec. 1, towards the city’s herd immunity.
There were 6,501 vaccinees on day one; 6,416 on the second day; and 8,259 on Dec. 1.
Dubbed as “Bayanihan, Bakunahan,” the 3-day target for the city is at 56,289; with 21,176 (or 38%) taking part in the undertaking.
Forty-nine (49) vaccination sites; including community, district and mega areas located in parks, halls, schools, gymnasiums, churches, covered courts, playgrounds, day care centers and barangay halls were utilized throughout the three-day vaccination campaign. Afternoon to evening vaccination was also done at Melvin Jones, Burnham Park, for those who could not meet daytime schedules.
Mobile vaccination also went through for housebound vaccinees, elderly or disabled, as with drive throughs at Athletic Bowl.
As of date, the city has reached 98% of the 281,000 eligible adults or only 6,000 needed to be first-dosed, and 45,000 to be fully vaccinated.
As to Department of Health (DOH CAR) records, however, the city has breached 105 percent for partially vaccinated, with DoH-set target of 262,185, with LGU Baguio having 275,099 first-dosed.
