NAPINO COPS BAGUIO conducts refresher training for BPAT

The Napino Cops of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) led by the City Director, PCOL FRANCISCO BULWAYAN, JR., successfully conducted a 3-day refresher training for the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPAT) held in Barangay Lower Rock Quarry, Baguio City, from August 29 to 31, 2023.

The training was initiated by the City Community Affairs and Development Unit and the Human Resource and Doctrine Development Section of BCPO in partnership with the City Government of Baguio.

As part of the activity, 50 members of the BPAT actively participated in the lectures conducted by the BCPO personnel, focusing on the topics of the duties and responsibilities of BPATs and their relationship with the PNP; Anti-Road Obstruction and other City Ordinances; the timeline of activities for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) 2023; the Nature of Investigation & its Techniques, and Application to the Present Situation; Community Safety, Partnership Knowledge and Skills; and Basic Movement in the use of Arnis.

Additionally, the participants also participated in the lecture and a demonstration on First Aid and Basic Life Support conducted by the staff from the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO).

The activity is part of the Retooled Community Support Program and the Revitalized Serbisyong Pulis sa Barangay, which aim to equip the BPAT members with the necessary knowledge and skills for them to effectively fulfill their roles and responsibilities as peacekeeping personnel in their respective barangays.

The training ended with a closing ceremony where PLTCOL BALDWIN SOKOKEN, JR., the Deputy City Director for Administration of BCPO, thanked the participants for their active participation and their continuous support of the activities of BCPO, especially in ensuring peace and order in their own respective barangays.
