Mt. Province PPO Barracks groundbreaking ceremony
A new barracks for the personnel of the Mountain Province Police Provincial Office (PPO) will soon rise following the groundbreaking ceremony held in Camp Lt Geronimo F Montes in Bontoc, Mountain Province on April 5, 2023.
Gracing the event as the guest of honor speaker is PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR., the Regional Director of the Police Regional Office Cordillera (PROCOR).
Other key officers present during the ceremony were PCOL SIBLY P DAWIGUEY, JR., the Provincial Director of Mountain Province PPO; PMAJ PEDRO T TACTAY, the Chief of Police of Bontoc Municipal Police Station; Congressman Maximo Y Dalog Jr., District Representative of Mt. Provincee; Hon. Mayor Jerome Tudlong Jr. of Bontoc, Mt Province; and Mr. Angel Baybay representative of Hon. Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr.
In his message, PBGEN PEREDO JR. extended his appreciation to the members of the Local Government Units (LGUs) for their unending support to the plans and programs of the PNP and for helping the Montañosa cops in maintaining peace and order in the province.
The soon-to-rise building will serve as the officers’ quarter of the Mountain Province PPO personnel, after the fire incident on May 31, 2022, razed the old barracks to the ground together with the two nearby residential houses. (PROCOR-PIO / File Photos)
