SAN FERNANDO CITY, March 2 (PIA) — Local products and goods in La Union were showcased in a two-day Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) Bazaar held in front of the La Union Agri-tourism Center, this city.
The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU), through the Local Economic Enterprise and Investment Promotion Unit, organized the said bazaar that ran from Feb. 26 to 27.
It was in line with the 171st Founding Anniversary of the province.
A total of 16 MSMEs participated in the two-day activity that aimed to aid the exhibitors to cope with the negative impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and bolster economic recovery and development in the province.
Jake Cabiladas, one of the participating entrepreneurs and owner of Krieytib Enterprises, said the bazaar helped to further promote their local items.
“Though it is still not the season of buying, the free space provided by the provincial government of La Union during the bazaar paved the way to feature our products,” he said.
Some of the great items sold in the various kiosks include colorful handcrafted items and souvenirs in all shapes and sizes and La Union popular delights like chocolates.
To ensure the safety of the general public, strict public health standards were implemented during the bazaar. (JCR/VHS/JPD, PIA La Union)
