Miss Baguio’s elite 18 gracefully meet the press

BAGUIO CITY – On Friday, August 4, 2023, the much-awaited presentation of the eighteen dazzling Miss Baguio candidates took place at the Venus Parkview Hotel.
The event was attended by members of the press as well as social media influencers, bloggers, and vloggers, who eagerly sought to get to know the aspirants for the prestigious title.
Amidst the buzzing excitement, the ladies confidently faced the barrage of random questions posed by the members of the media.
Demonstrating their intelligence and wit, the talented contestants impressively responded to each inquiry, leaving the audience in awe of their poise and eloquence.
The Miss Baguio beauty and personality pageant, established through City Council Ordinance No. 30, s.1998, has been an annual tradition aimed at promoting youth empowerment, civic consciousness, and environmental awareness.
It also seeks to instill a sense of community spirit and pride in the city.
This year, in celebration of its 114th Charter Anniversary, the City of Baguio presents the Miss Baguio 2023 pageant.
The event is co-presented by the Baguio Tourism Council (BTC) and the Baguio Weddings and Events Suppliers Organization, Inc. (BWESO).
The coronation night is set to take place on Saturday, August 26th.
The grand finale will be held at the Baguio Convention and Cultural Center, where the reigning queen will be crowned amidst a night of glamour, glitz, and celebration.
On Sunday, August 13, there will be an open cosplay shoot of the Miss Baguio 2023 candidates at Session Road from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
The Miss Baguio 2023 pageant promises not only to showcase the beauty and grace of these young ladies but also to highlight the essence of Baguio’s culture, values, and community spirit. ### Merriam del Rosario //FNS
