MINDANAO DRUG COURIER CAUGHT IN BAGUIO BUS TERMINAL
The PNP Drug Enforcement Unit Special Operations Unit apprehended a drug courier early this morning at a bus terminal in Baguio City.
Getting a tip from other law enforcement units in Manila, a would-be passenger departing from Pasay to Baguio bound bus was supposed to deliver a package containing illegal drugs. Around 4 am this morning, operatives positioned themselves inside the terminal awaiting the arrival of the target.
Upon her arrival, an undercover agent posed as the recipient and effected the arrest.
Upon seizing, the package contained 1 sachet of more than 10 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P70,000.00. Police identified the suspect as Nora Dulay from Cotabato. PDEG SOU PROCOR Chief PLt.Col. Timothy Arciso Jr. said the suspect changed locations in Metro Manila and ParaΓ±aque where the drugs came from. Intelligence operatives are now investigating her connections in the area.
The suspect is now at the Police Regional Office Cordillera for documentation and drug testing. Cases for violation of RA 9165 are being prepared against the suspect.Β Photo by: Darius Bajo
