Meat vendor busted for selling Shabu

Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet- A meat vendor identified as High-Value drug personality was arrested after a  buy-bust operation conducted in La Trinidad, Benguet, today August 12, 2021.

According to the reports submitted to the Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE disclosed that joint elements of Benguet PPO, RID/RSOG COR, PDEA-CAR and PDEG SOU-COR launched the operation that resulted in the arrest of the suspect identified as George Tullay Chokowen a.k.a “Jethro”, 45, and a resident of Shamolog, Central Pico, La Trinidad, Benguet.

‘Jethro’ was arrested after he sold one (1) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing 0.7 grams with Standard Drug Price (SDP) of  PHP 4,760.00 to an undercover operative. The cellphone and boddle money used during the said transaction was also seized from the suspect.

All confiscated pieces of evidence were marked and inventoried on-site with the presence of  Hon. Fernando Palitayan, Barangay Kagawad of Pico, La Trinidad, Benguet and Denver Bastingo, Media Representative.

The suspect together with the seized pieces of evidence was brought at La Trinidad Municipal Police Station for documentation and proper disposition, while a case for violation of RA 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act is being prepared againts him. (PROCOR-PIO)
